The mood in The Bahamas felt tense, the economy had taken a hit with hotels under construction, people losing their jobs etc.  Underwater apathy is a series that ensued. The series was a collaborative one with Dede Brown depicting female figures underwater arms up and floating. The process was a push and pull in between realism, abstraction and deconstruction.
