The social media phenomenon had become ingraned in our society. Self curating your own virtual life was the thing. This series observed the narcissism and nihilistic yolo actions of the selfie nation through portraits of random girls who had thousands of public pictures (mostly selfies) on facebook.

Place Image here was an invitational group show curated by Heino Schmid and John Cox discussing text and imagery in fine art practices. My installation "Will work for gas" is an observation on overconsumption and the social illusion of material possessions. In a third world country many people here live a hand to mouth existence while trying to keep their image impeccable, driving a fancy car without being able to buy proper groceries or fill that car up with gas.
